Apart from the obvious issues of cold feet and sore soles, would women also suffer from a lack of ‘retail therapy’,? that sense of fulfilment gained from tracking down the latest bargains.
The above statement is somewhat indicative of the stereotype that is often placed on Women… they like to shop, and they like especially to shop for shoes!
Is this really the case, and if so, are men really so different?
Whilst your stereotypical male may profess a lack of understanding for many women’s love of shoe shopping, if you changed the subject of the products purchased to tools, or car accessories, then that same stereotypical male would perhaps no longer be so dumbfounded by the desire to hit the shops!
One way or another it is pretty safe to say that at some level, male or female, conforming to a stereotype or not, we all love to shop for something!
Perhaps it satisfies a deep, ingrained need to track something down, and secure it, leaving us with a sense of satisfaction at a job well done.
But is there room for this self indulgence in this, the age of austerity?
Perhaps there is.
Indulging oneself in the latest fashion doesn’t have to be as costly as it at first seems.
For example, this years range of designer womens shoes, the latest deisgner dresses, and all other types of designer gear from Ted Baker to FCUK can these days be purchased online for a much better price than at high street stores.
